INCUBATE your business idea in EIT Health bootcamps

Do you have an idea that you want to incubate, or do you want help starting up a business? For new entrepreneurs or scientists looking to develop their start-ups or receive innovation training, the EIT Health Bootcamps offers support. The Bootcamps are intensive incubation programmes for European teams with an idea for a new healthcare product that is in the R&D stage. National and regional training programmes are organised to augment existing programmes at EIT Health nodes, with a focus on key skills in the healthcare sector.

EIT Health Bootcamps: Intensive incubation programmes

About: The EIT Health Bootcamps are intensive incubation programmes for European teams with an idea for a new healthcare product that is in the R&D stage.
Who can apply? Post-docs, Master’s students, graduates, scientists, doctors and other professionals working on ideas in MedTech, Biotech, Digital Health, HealthTech, scalable eHealth and diagnostics.
Deadlines:
Wave 1: 16 December 2019 – 16 / 30 March 2020
Wave 2: 17 March 2020 – 15 June 2020

Patient Innovation Bootcamp: Boosting Patient Entrepreneurship

About: The Bootcamp is aimed at supporting patients and informal caregivers to implement and scale up the innovative solutions they develop to help them cope with a need imposed by their health condition. The programme will be delivered over eight months, with three weeks on site in three cities in Europe, to help teams launch their device, diagnostics and digital health innovations.
Who can apply? Teams that include at least one patient and/or informal caregiver who have developed an innovative solution to deal with a personal health condition.
Bootcamp lead: Copenhagen Business School.

OpenAPI: Cross Market Integration for Digital Health

About: The OpenAPI Bootcamp is a six-week digital health programme for start-ups with digital healthcare solutions. It addresses three key challenges – customer acceptance, integration with existing technology
and system and international expansion. Teams will be exposed to the British and Swedish healthcare ecosystems, insights from the Irish system, sessions on user-centred design, as well as real-world case studies within the industry.
Who can apply? Entrepreneurial teams developing a digital health innovation, preferably a digital product that needs to share data with other products.

OpenAPI Bootcamp

BioEntrepreneur Bootcamp

About: The BioEntrepreneur Bootcamp gives biomedical founder teams the opportunity to design and validate their business concepts in Oxford and Munich. The programme runs over four months: 16 on-site days at the University of Oxford and at BioM in Munich, two days of online sessions and a visit to BioEurope 2020. Teams are expected to work at least another 16 days off-site on business validation, roadmaps and pitching.
Who can apply? Post-docs, Master’s students, graduates, scientists, doctors and other professionals with a novel biomedical product idea.

Bioentrepreneur Bootcamp

CRAASH Barcelona

About: CRAASH Barcelona is a 12-week programme that helps European research teams to launch successful device, diagnostic and Digital Health innovations. Teams move research to market through on-site and online mentoring with experts from CIMIT, Boston.
Who can apply? Teams within healthtech and medtech, which have achieved min. TRL 3-4, and having a proof of concept or proof of feasibility.

Validation Lab Bootcamp @Delft

About: The bootcamp is a unique two-month pressure cooker at one of Europe’s leading tech incubators, YesDelft!. It allows aspiring entrepreneurs from all over Europe to discover the business potential of their MedTech ideas. The programme helps participants to explore and validate their market ideas, market potential and business model – and to launch in markets all over Europe. The final event is a Pitch Day, where teams are connected to investors, launching customers etc.
Who can apply? Early stage medtech start-up teams – Master’s students, graduates, scientists and professionals with a medtech idea and an entrepreneurial ambition.

Validation Lab Bootcamp

MedTech Bootcamp

About: The MedTech Bootcamp is a five-week training programme for early-phase start-up teams with ideas in medical technology, seeking to build skills during the early stages of launching their start-ups. You will receive training in business model design and validation, including tailored mentoring from medical doctors, industry representatives and regulatory professionals. The bootcamp will include four weeks at the Central Institute of Medical Engineering (ZiMT/ FAU) in Erlangen, and one week at IESE in Barcelona.
Who can apply? Early entrepreneurs, graduate students and professionals with a start-up idea in medtech.
