Expressions of Interest for Healthy Citizen and Customer Engagement
EIT Health, EIT Food, EIT InnoEnergy, and Climate-KIC are cooperating on a Consumer & Customer Engagement work package, with the overall goal of educating children in primary schools about healthy foods and eating habits in order to achieve behavioural changes that engender a healthier lifestyle across Europe. Expressions of interest are now being sought from partners who want to join this Cross-KIC initiative.
The scope of the 2020 sub-activity “Healthy Citizen and Customer Engagement” will be a continuation and expansion/adaptation of activity from 2019 activity.
In 2019, EIT Food, EIT Health and EIT InnoEnergy collaborated on the design, creation, and delivery of “teach the teachers” education material, including board and bingo games, on healthy living and eating. The target groups were primary school children, aged 6-9 years.
While the pilot took place in two RIS regions in Spain and Italy (with initial testing in Denmark), the plan for 2020 is to branch out to two new locations in RIS and InnoStars regions of EIT Health partners, with a preference towards Central and Eastern Europe.
